My IT band has been acting up a bit. I'm not quite ready to do something about it but I am a bit worried.
I decided to try a slower pace on the treadmill today of 6.8 MPH (8:49 pace) but with some quality incline work. I started out with one mile at 5%, rested .25, then .75 miles at 6%, .25 rest, .75 at 7%, rest, .5 at 6%, rest .5 at 5%, rest and a couple .25s at 5% (by the end I was losing track)… it was pretty much an incline fartlek.

2021 GOALS PROGRESS UPDATE:
1. 10,000 pushups: 3438/on pace for 16511... I always take these for granted and wind up not doing them consistently enough. That said, I've been making steady progress. May go for max tonight.
2. 7500 10,000 pulls ups: 2351/on pace for 11290... Pull ups on the other hand I generally get done consistently and have really been making progress.
3. 26 Hours on the Bike: At 15:58
4. 2021 miles: 489.55... 69 miles ahead of pace. Currently on pace for 2351 miles for the year. Been steadily in the 40s weekly but need to move it up towards the 50s here shortly.
My weight loss has stalled since January. This is the same thing that happened last year. I know I need to clean up my diet a bit but I really have trouble keeping focused. I'm not unhappy with where I'm currently at but know that losing a bit more weight could really impact my performance. My goal right now is to get under 160. This is not unreasonable as I easily have 10 lbs to lose. I started writing the goal on my hand to help remind myself. If I could just string together 6 weeks of clean eating I'd probably be pretty close. Sounds easy enough but as of late, I can't even make it one day *sigh*
