I'm supposed to run a marathon in 7 weeks... what the fuck am I thinking?!? I don't feel ready but I don't know if I ever really would... am I being dumb or am I ripping the bandage off?
One thing for certain... if I want to run 26.2 miles in 7 weeks I'd like to get my mileage up a bit.
Here's my mileage from since Saturday's 5K:
Sunday: 12.02 miles (7:36 pace)
Monday: 10.12 miles (8:11 pace)
Tuesday: 10.03 miles (8:03 pace)
Wednesday: 6.51 (7:51 pace)
and today...
11.11 miles at 7:32 pace.
I averaged 145 HR for the run and kept the HR at or under 145 until the last mile when I picked it up a bit to 7:15 pace. More or less an easy run. Also, my longest midweek run ever.
Weather was 65 degrees and felt fine.
Plan is a week or two of these double digit efforts. Then polish it off with a few sub-threshold efforts once the weather gets in the 50s... then see what I can swing for 26.2
